VIAVI Solutions has launched an award, the first of its kind to be given in recognition of a telecoms installer, technician or engineer, who 24/7, whatever the weather, systematically goes above and beyond the call-of-duty in installing, commissioning or maintaining vital infrastructure supporting the fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) roll-out, which will in-turn bring ultrafast gigabit broadband services to homes and communities.

You should privately nominate one of your colleagues who you believe should win. Do not tell them, as we wish our winners to be surprised when the time comes to deliver the award.

In addition to a handsome glass plaque, they will receive Amazon vouchers, catering for a slap-up meal in the field, some basic fiber test tools and a valet of their van cockpit.
